Dazed have featured photographer Campbell Addy 11 times since he graduated last summer.
From FKA Twigs to Alberta Ferretti, Urban Outfitters to Getty Images the list of clients and people rooting for Campbell is pretty outstanding.
But Addy’s work doesn’t begin and end with photography. During the final year of his Fashion Communication and Promotion degree he set up Nii Agency, (a modeling agency dedicated to representing people of colour) and Nii Journal, (an arts, culture and fashion journal). In March, Vogue described Addy as the ‘Creative Guru Changing the Way Fashion Thinks About Diversity.’ He’s making some real changes in the fashion industry from both sides of the camera.
If you read interviews with Addy, he mentions creatives that have influenced him, including Buffalo Collective and photographers Malick Sidibé or Seydou Keita. You can see how they have inspired his work, but his mark on the fashion world is equally due to the network of collaborators and friends he made during the time he was studying. He’s shaping a new world together with likeminded people. We’re excited to see what comes next.
